Shadow in a darkened room.
Distorted image out of time,
Disintegrating, can't stop it now.
Fever dreams, chest is tight,
Stabbing pain, just swallow it down.
A bleak warning uttered slowly,
"Kill it off, don't let it grow."

Slow crash, burn down,
Twisted metal hits the ground.
Slow crash, shatters bone,
Broken machine left alone.

A sweet nothing, an empty promise,
A lifeline made of decaying twine.
A desperate something, crawling back,
Bloody knees on broken glass.
Fuel ignited, a blaze is burning,
The spark is nowhere to be found.
A lifeless body listing slowly,
The shore receding out of sight.

The emptiness, just breathe it in,
With smoke filled lungs and blackened skin,
Stomach turns, can't slow down,
A light goes dark without a sound.
